As a writer and a fan, one of my inspirations is C.S. Lewis. I have felt inspired by The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe because of the story itself. When reading this book, I felt sadness, anger, happiness, and fear, just to name a few emotions that the story brought out. For example, when Lucy cries at some point in the book, I wanted to cry along with her. And that is why, to this very day, truly enjoy what C.S. Lewis has written. His ability to evoke emotion is always why he has inspired me to be a writer. One of the main reasons why C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite fantasy authors is because of the way he tells the story and how he can work your imagination and leave pictures in your mind, and that’s what I did by reading this particular story. It is a story about 4 children, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, and how they go through a magical wardrobe and discover the world of Narnia for the first time.
When I read this book, I loved it! I love this particular story because of the way C.S. Lewis wrote it and those little details that you can go back to rediscover. For example, when Lucy discovers the magical wardrobe for the first time and discovers the world of Narnia, it is one of my favorite moments in the book. This is one of my favorite moments because of the sense of wonder and how I can imagine this in my mind and paint a picture in my mind. This story is so dear and close to my heart. Another reason it’s so inspiring to me as a writer and a fan is because of how C.S. Lewis has created this world and how he inspired me to write my very own story one day and be a writer and an author myself. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is by far one of my favorite books out of his Fantasy book series. I admire how C.S. Lewis became an author and how he wrote and kept writing even before he started writing The Chronicles of Narnia.
His writing is so inspiring to me because, again, how he can leave some room for your imagination in your mind and paint a picture. For example, towards the beginning of the book, when the Pevensie children meet Mrs. and Mr. Beaver for the first time and get some sense of what this whole magical world of Narnia is about, you paint a picture in your mind and also feel those emotions that C.S. Lewis wrote.
The emotions that I have felt while reading the story are the emotions that I want to feel. For example, when Lucy tells her siblings, Peter, Susan, and Edmund about the magical wardrobe and what she has seen, they didn’t believe her. When that happened, I was feeling a bit sad and upset. Another example is towards the beginning of the book when Edmund meets the White Witch for the first time, the emotions that I felt were fear and nervousness that something bad could happen to Edmund. When my heart pounded, and kind of pounded hard, I was feeling a bit scared and worried about what was going to happen. It was a valuable experience because of how C.S. Lewis awoke my imagination and how there is still room to paint a picture in my mind. Also, I love the written words he wrote in this story because of how he evoked strong emotions and brought the characters to life. Those moments and his written words and story are never be forgotten. The emotions that C.S. Lewis left me feeling are so good that I want to try to write stories of my own and have an impact, the impact that I want all of you to experience when I write my stories, because I truly believe that C.S. Lewis left me inspired, and I want to do the same for others. I truly loved what C.S. Lewis has done to this story, and I truly believe that C.S. Lewis did an outstanding job of writing this book, creating this story, and creating the whole book series.
